Change Management
The two things that are certain in life are death and change. Both involve individuals and organisations. Both require an understanding of what each other is feeling and is trying to achieve. If both have empathy and respect for each other, then the first step has been satisfied
- Commonality
There are three main types of change
- Understanding that you require change
- Implementing change
- Resistance to change
By creating an environment of understanding, respect and trust, each process of change can be constructed effectively. Even resistance to change will have a greater chance of being managed if the reason for change is communicated, discussed and planned with all stakeholders who will be affected by that change Change process solutions are built in to the organisational paradigm.
The problem is that they are theoretical and do not always fit the environment for which they were intended. Analyst’s design and model process flows visually, execute pilot concepts, and quickly access the deepest levels of the solution to review rules and dependencies. One thing that is often overlooked, people and their involvement and impact on them of any pending change. Too often change is implemented by executives who simply follow the strategic leaders vision, without due care and attention. Other consideration such as, political, social, and environmental, should take prime position.
One thing that is for sure, change does happen, understand what that is likely to be, and create planning accordingly. Remember, organisations are only as strong as their weakest link.
Amber Business Management will assist you by developing a process to create a process that both can share and understand, then both will achieve.
